MORLEY LIONS RECEIVE GRANT FROM MORLEY TOWN COUNCIL
Morley Town Council help Morley Lions to 'March On' with historical event!
Morley Town Council's Community Support Committee have awarded the Morley & District Lions a grant towards this years Morley March event. The 2024 Morley March took place on Sunday 23 June in Morley town centre, the event which comprised a Road March along Queen Street followed by the playing of a Hymn Tune and Contest March in the band stand outsode the Town Hall.
Members of the public lined the street to support the bands and enjoyed a fantastic day, even basking in some Morley sunshine!
We would like to say a huge thank you to The Community Support Committee for their generous contribution to our popular and much loved Morley March event which has taken place for many years, over which we have been lucky to be supported by Morley Town Council, local businesses and the wider community. This ongoing support has enabled the event to grow in popularity, promote the town and of course, help us raise vital funds so that we can help those across the town that need it.
Thank you to our members, the event organisers and our volunteers for working hard and for putting on such a great day for all that came along.
