Morley Lions News

Morley Lions are organising a Charity Race Night to raise funds for Morley and the surrounding area.

The Morley and District Lions Club are excited to announce that their inaugural Charity Race Night will take place later this year.

Take to your starting gates and join together for a ‘Night at the Races’, organised by Morley & District Lions Club takes place at Hanging Heaton Heaton Golf Club on Saturday 12th November.

For those ready to saddle up... Take part and get friends and family involved, select your favourite horses, place real bets at the tote table, and watch the race film unfold as you all cheer on your horse to the finish line, hopefully picking up some winnings along the way.

Morley Lions Club Secretary, Dan Frank said: "We're really excited to host our first ever Race Night which will bring fun and excitement to everyone that comes along at the same time as making a difference to the local community.

"The Morley Lions Club doesn't just operate in Morley, we cover most of the South Leeds area along with North Kirklees and we're delighted to be working with Hanging Heaton Golf Club which is a great venue.

"We are also looking forward to working with local businesses and groups that want to get involved by sponsoring races and horses and helping us to make a real difference to our communities."

Tickets, which include a Pie & Peas Supper are priced at £10 each and will be available in the coming weeks. The money raised from the event will go towards ensuring that Morley and District Lions can continue their work in communities across Morley and the surrounding area.
