WF3 Kindness Recognised

Yorkshire Water is acknowledging and celebrating the county's community heroes.

WF3 Kindness Recognised

The Big Thank You campaign was launched by Yorkshire Water in April and aims to celebrate the region’s community heroes. Customers were given an opportunity to nominate a worthy person or cause to be recognised before a panel of judges pick their winner.

Our very own Dan Frank was nominated by several people on Yorkshire Waters social media channels and was later selected as a Community Hero.

The comments on Dan and WF3 Kindness were lovely to read:
'Him and his family have helped 100's of local families'
'Food, clothing, kindness packages, shopping for people, collecting prescriptions'
'He's brought the community together to support people throughout lockdown.'
'Shopping and calls, making face masks, scrubs and care packages for various hospitals and hundreds of community members.'
'He's created a platform thats mobilised an entire community to be kind and deliver help to hundreds.'

Dan was presented with an amazing 'Yorkshire Night In' hamper and a card thanking him for all his efforts to help others. but was quick to deflect the recognition to all of our volunteers who have contributed to the list above.

Dan Frank, Founder & Head of Operations at WF3 Kindness said: "I'd like to thank Yorkshire Water for my hamper, it's made my week. We continue to help people in the community in a variety of ways and whilst it is hard work, and often none-stop when you get a thank you, it makes the effort worth it. There are lots of people doing amazing things so to be selected means a lot to me!

"To be nominated by people from within the community that see and appreciate what is going on made me proud, I'd like to thank those that nominated me in the first place.

"I'm lucky to have volunteers who put their hand up and support me in my ideas, without the volunteers and the support we wouldn't be able to do what we do. They are the true heroes!"

Without the support of everyone in the community, including local businesses, we genuinely wouldn't be able to do the things we do.
